BBQ Sauce Burgers

If your gearing up for a three day weekend celebration and are planing on barbecuing this recipe is for you. Or if you want that BBQ taste with out the grill these burgers still work.

They are gluten free and you wont miss the bun.

 

 

BBQ Sauce

 

½ cups chicken broth

2 can tomato paste

½ onion

2 tbsp minced garlic

2 tbsp honey

1/2 tbsp chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp mustard

 

simmer 20 min

 

You will get the best flavor if you let it sit over night(in fridge).

 

BBQ Burgers

 

1 lb ground beef

1 tbsp almond meal

1 egg

1 tbsp garlic

½ tsp chili powder

½ tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp salt

3 tbsp of BBQ sauce

¼ cup of minced mushrooms

½ small onion chopped

 

For The Bun

 

I took a yam and sliced it into disks and grilled them in a George foreman grill.

It only took about ten minutes

But if you have a lot of people to serve all at once baking a bunch in the oven works too.

 

I also took a romaine lettuces leaf and wrapped it around

 

You can do both or just one up to you.

 

I used more barbecue sauce on top of the burger instead of ketchup

So much flavor!
