Avocado Burgers with Complementary Sauce

The avocados have been plentiful in the store lately and its BBQ season, so why not put them together.

I also made a complementary sauce to go with your Avocado burger. Really its a fancy upgraded ketchup. It tastes the best if you make it the night before.


Fancy Upgraded Ketchup



1 ½ cup coconut milk

3 tbsp diced tomatoes(can)

1/3 cup onion

1 6oz can tomato past

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp chili powder

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp maple syrup


Put all ingredients in a pot

simmer 20 min

This has the best flavor if your let it sit over night.


Avocado Burgers



2 eggs

1/3 cup quinoa

1 avocado

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp no salt seasoning(costco)

½ tsp crushed chili

1 lb ground beef


In a small bowl mix in eggs, quinoa, avocado, and spices

Once mixed add in meat, mash with hands

Form your patties then refrigerate till your ready to grill


For the Bun

Grill yam slices or Yukon Gold that are sliced long ways

place on each side of your burger then wrap with lettuce
