New Way to Eat Steak Rub

I enjoy steak rubs on other meats besides steak. In this case its in a sauce. I have gotten better at making sauces because store bought sauces most of the time have unsafe ingredients. Unsafe meaning not Hailey safe. I don’t want a sauce with unnecessary additives like preservatives, soy, and sugar. I dare you to go read your sauce bottles and see what you have been eating. 

 

As usual you can personalize this recipe by using what ever kind of carb, oils, and veggies you want. But this is the best combination I have found, which is why I’m sharing it with you. I hope you enjoy it as is or have fun experimenting. 

 

Serves 2 to 3

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 yams cooked 

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 1/2 onion

  • 1 can coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp steak rub

  • 12 oz chicken

  • veggies frozen or fresh,  I suggest 4 cups fresh spinach or 2 cups broccoli

 

 

 

Directions:

  • pre cook your yams, I diced them and then cooked them in a skillet with coconut oil

  • Set yams to the side

  • Dice onion

  • In a skillet cook onions in oil till translucent 

  • add coconut milk

  • bring to a simmer

  • Add the steak rub

  • add in chicken (mine was pre cooked rotisserie style but raw is fine it just takes longer)

  • If chicken is cooked add in veggies in right away 

  • If chicken is raw wait about 15 minutes  or 5 minutes before meat is done 

 

 

Steak Rub

 

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1/2 tbsp rosemary

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper 

  • 1/4 tsp ginger

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
